“劳埃德·黑尔，一位已经在艺术刀领域奋战了半个世纪的大师。其独树一帜的外形设计以及对贝母的独特运用，使劳埃德·黑尔的作品在艺术刀界轰动一时。早在1967年，劳埃德就成为了当时美国都极为罕有的手工刀匠。1977年劳埃德的订单周期就达到了5年以上，各大杂志都争相报道他的作品。1981年，美国亿万富豪奥斯里·布朗·弗拉希尔相中了劳埃德的作品，为其专门建立了博物馆专区，作为陈列室。整整23年，劳埃德所有的作品都收归在奥斯里博物馆旗下。”
这个博物馆位于肯塔基州，离我现在住的地方大概六个多小时车程，本来想借着疫情去参观的，毕竟这些东西基本没有照片的记载，之前在网上也就找到了两张不咋清楚的游客照，结果就拖着拖着，发现黑尔老先生FB发了条动态，说拍卖行联系他说收到收藏家女儿的委托，要把这些展品都拍卖掉。于是乎，趁机参与一波，顺便欣赏一下这些难得一见的作品。除了黑尔的这些作品，还有一些日刀，甲胄，枪炮啥的，拍卖会从美国时间上午十点开始，到晚上七点多，三四分钟一件，节奏还是挺快的。这张图取自黑尔FB，后面那个白头发老爷子就是他


下面贴上图，和拍卖行给出的英文介绍，就不翻译了可以看出来，刀剑在这种私人博物馆里，保存的也不是很好，有明显的划痕，污渍和氧化的痕迹

49" overall length,  Double-edge hollow ground blade measuring 32" and 2.375" wide at ricasso.  Blade is a tour de force of the knife maker's art.  Pierced near point with heart for hanging.  Down-turned quillons.  Ricasso applied with shield outlined in gold.  The arms in two colors of pearl with a band of white stone and faux rubies. Quillon block deeply filed and perfectly polished.  Fluted grip in two piece measures 8.5" overall and 2.5" across; between the two pieces a band of rubies in set in pearl plaque.  The pommel forged from single piece of single steel.  Apex with fastened garnets.

20" spear point blade with a cutting surface of 15.25", 25.75" overall length, blade is 1.5" across at widest point.  One of the more impressive custom edged weapons in this collection filled with some of the most impressive custom knives ever assembled.  Hollowed ground blade that is serrated at ricasso with relief chiseled panel that is dated "1999" with maker's name.  A very elegant but complex guard with six branches including down turned quillons bezel with jewels.  Quillon block with chiseled and filed embellished design.  White spiral grip with gold chain in flutes.  Pommel with blooming flower resembling a crown.  Handsome piece that will be the centerpiece of any custom blade collection.

Wonderful Lloyd Hale Concept Dagger in the Renaissance Style
12" spear point blade length, 18.75" overall length, 2" wide at widest point. Hollow ground blade masterfully forged and polished to a mirror brightness. Inset with four stones with raised panels on either side.  Quillons down swept and filed ending in buds holding bezeled white stones. Quillon block beautifully filed and polished with inset white stones.  Twisted fluted white grips with gold chains highlighting each flute. Pommel inlaid with appears gold border surrounding a bezel stone.  Pommel filed in the form of a crown. Mounted by two polished steel rings and set at crest with bezel set stone. Dagger is a work of art but well balanced and could be used in battle, assuming one would take such an amazing work of art to war.
