2013 New York Custom Knife Show NYCKS

Well this past weekend was the 2013 New York Custom Knife Show NYCKS.  I got some knives from there and thought I would share here.  Sorry this will be in posted in English so if someone can translate it for everyone else I would appriciate it.

First is a Custom Knife maker that i have never known before the show.  His name is Tom Ferry.  He is also a ABS Mastersmith.  I got to handle his knives and I was very impressed that I got one before they were all sold.

Black Timascus/Carbon Fiber Handle
Carbon Fiber Clip
Ceramic Ball Bearing Flipper System
3.8" Blade
8.75" Overall
4.555 Ounces
This is Brand New from the 2013 New York Custom Knife Show.  Purchased directly from the maker with sheath.  One of the smoothest flippers I have ever felt.  Very light weight with early lockup and centered blade.
This has staggered Bolster/Handle.

Next was a Custom Microtech Element Clip Point, Hand Ground High Polish  A.Marfione 11/2013
This is Brand New from the 2013 New York Custom Knife Show.  Purchased directly from the maker with box and sheath.
As you can see from the date on the clip, this was just made!  Fires hard with solid lockup.
This is no black on the blade, it is so high polish that it comes across in the pictures as black.  Very Sharp Blade!

After looking around, I asked questions and got to purchase the best bead I saw, the Starlingear Barbarian Bead.

I entered the Emerson lottery and didn't win anything but I did the Hinderer lottery and we won this XM18 which was done just for the show.

终于看到有人发纽约刀展的图片喽，感谢楼主的热情分享，真羡慕你收到很多好宝贝！
另外终于看到Tom Ferry的真容啦，ABS的大M们都是我崇拜的偶像，但是很遗憾好像涉猎战术折刀的不多（说错莫怪），这位Tom大哥倒是挺爱搞小折的，不但有合作款，还不断推出自己的东西！我还没有机会体会一下，不过用过都说好呵呵。
分享一下我心中的梦幻之刃 Jeremy Marsh 和 Tom Ferry的合作款这雕工应该是Tom 哥的吧

I was very impressed with the Tom Ferry knife. It is surprisingly light, super sharp and how smoothly that knife flips out is amazing! This is one of those knives where you really have to hold it in your hand and feel the action. My pictures can't even do justice for how sweet that knife is!

I'm a bogi collector,I have ten of his knives,I love his finish fit and flipper action.I have owned a lot of custom folders,in my opnion,bogi is second to none.I haven't owned a rexford knife or ikoma knife because of the high price,maybe they can give me a surprise in the future when I get one.

I got to hold a Rexford this summer at Blade 2013, it is very very nice but way out of my price range not to mention you rarely ever see one go up for sale. Sibert makes a nice folder but I didn't get one of them yet either. I got the Ferry because after holding it, I believe he can get very expensive and impossible to get later on so better buy it now while I have a chance!

楼主认为Ferry 能够走红战术折刀界吗我个人感觉做工应该没有问题样子有些文艺！
