长剑在印度是一种常在**活动中使用的“道具”，近年来印度选情日趋激烈，在各种集会上赠送的宝剑“消耗量”大增。采用传统工艺制造，经过宗教领袖“开光”的宝剑无法满足印度选举活动的需要。于是，万能的“中国制造”就此进入了印度政坛。今年选举期间，印度马哈拉施特拉邦各地**集会上赠送宝剑变得司空见惯。这种情况下，市场上对剑的需求前所未有。在印度，宝剑象征武士的勇气。一位政党领袖说：“剑是武士在战斗中使用的一种传统兵器。所以，在集会上向领袖赠剑寓意战斗开始。”目前，印度市面上有各种剑，大多产自旁遮普邦和哈里亚纳邦。但是，卖得脱销的不是这两地制造的剑，而是便宜很多的中国剑。

And these are the same swords that come out during riots to hack each other to death !! The symbolism attached to a sword would have been appropriate when swords were the main weapons of defence but now the symbolism is lost and this has become a show with dangerous weapons falling into many hands 骚乱时，人们就是用这些剑来捅死别人的！当剑还是主要防卫武器时，剑所被赋予的象征意义是恰当的，但是象征意义已经失去了，如今的剑落入了许多不法之徒手中，成为了用于炫耀的危险武器。

If we elect representatives according to our religious, regional communal and linguistic preferences, I don’t think we will have anything better to do than wield a sword and move to our legislature, demanding reservations. Let us forget the pun, this time we have to elect a party which can give us a better governance, we must have a chief minister who is able to unite everyone residing in this state by his exploratory, courage, vision and tolerance. So never vote anyone who promise to keep you within the bounds of petty linguistic, regional, communal and religious consideration. These issues are secondary in a state administration. What we need today is a workforce comprising of all these elements. Then only our state can shine and our children can think of a better tomorrow. 如果根据宗教、地区属性和语言偏好来选出代表，我认为我们不会有比挥舞着剑前往立法机关，要求预留名额来得更好的选择。 不说俏皮话了。这次我们必须选出一个能够给我们带来更好管理的政党，我们必须选出一位这样的首席部长，即他有能力用他的探险精神、勇气、愿景和宽容，把居住在该邦的每一个人团结在一起。 所以永远不要给那些根据你的语言、地区属性和宗教考量来投你所好的候选人投票。在一个邦的管理中，这些问题是其次的。我们今天需要的是包容各种元素的劳动大军。只有那时，我们的邦才会大放光彩，我们的孩子才可能有美好的明天。
